We believe that our success derives from the ethical principles of the company which are consistent with its planned business activities, operations and aims.
Ethics and ethical behaviour are hard to define and pin down. There is no accepted global definition of ethics. Essentially, the ethical hub focuses on, experts, judgment, competence, morals, integrity, honesty, consent and accountability which are executed by individuals. At Bath Oral Ceramics we believe having sound ethical principles makes sound business sense. It is the ethical philosophy of the company that will protect the company’s spirit and integrity. Bath Oral Ceramics fundamental values centre on the People, the Planet and the Profit.
Whilst Bath Oral Ceramics ultimate purpose is to deliver high quality restorative crowns and bridges that are fit for purpose at a price that reflects the quality of materials used, the time taken to produce, the level of skill, knowledge and the expertise demonstrated by the dental technicians who produce them.
The ethical values at the heart of the company focus primarily on People, namely, its staff, our customers and their patients. This can be evidenced by the Terms of Business, transparent pricing structure, quality and value for money products, commitment to a high level of customer service and staff development. Our fundamental philosophy to safeguard patients can be summed up in one question "Would you be willing to have this unit fitted in your mouth?"
Examples of our ethical values regarding the Planet include; using recycled products such as paper; paperless systems such as e-mailing, e-billing and e-banking wherever possible. Furthermore, to reduce the company’s carbon footprint a postal service will be used outside of the local zone for collections and deliveries.
Finally, the Profit. Bath Oral Ceramics will donate a minimum of 1% of the company profits to local charities nominated by its customers every year.
